The chapel is part of an ancient farmhouse with a typical courtyard structure , it was built on the outskirts of Ciriè ( actually Robaronzino is the name of the place). Differently form the many country chapels in the area, Robaronzino Chapel is rich in interior decorations since in the mid- '700s it belonged to a bank tycoon, Antonio Faccio di Carignano.
The building has a simple and linear façade, but inside it is a real jewel of Baroque art: the altar, which has been attributed to Bernardo Vittone, is decorated by candlesticks and wooden puttos. The church is framed by highly valuable stuccos made by masters from Lugano. The apse is enriched by a painting representing the Immaculate Conception. Four big paintings by the 18th century artist Pietro Francesco Guala hang on each side-wall: the represent scenes from the Virgin's life.
